In my travels i always try to meet Artists who are still around , i met Moussa n'Gom , Laye n'Gom from Guelewar (Gambia) and more members from Ifang Bondi or super alligators etc.. , I met Atchutchi , The Composer and Guitarist of Super Mama Djombo (Guinea-Bissau) .And Mr. Zé Manel , who I visited in his studio in Bissau .
I've met the congaplayer from the : B.b.'groups ' like : The barbecues ..
Mr. Amartey Hedzoleh , The composer of Hedzoleh sounds and flutist ... ( He was also the bassplayer of The Psychedelic Aliens. Who became a friend !
In Ghana also in the north 'Bolgatanga' i met some members from the Uppers International , like Samy Young , He was the guitar player in pt2 .. They were setting up a band , while we visited them , the drummer didnt show up as i kindly asked if i could try to play a little ..
They were happy and i tried to play the drum , it was a great evening 'with a bad vocalist ) but anyway :) maybe bad drummer to :p
Once in Casablanca airport i took the same airplane with Mr. Sir Shina Peters , chatted for hours while we waited for our flight and had a few beers , He than also invites me to come to Nigeria , as i will probably soon do..
In Benin i met Danialou Sagbohan , El Rego , Nel Oliver and Tohon Stanislas , and more unkown artist 1 for example who played the guitar on some Poly Rythmo tracks ...
Hoping to meet more of those people and records my travels will continue ! I will continiu to look for lost treasures in the future and am planning to compile a record in the near future ..
